A Wedding at St Mary’s Church in The Boltons

A Church Ceremony Followed by a Reception at Fulham Palace

A couple of weeks ago I photographed this church wedding at St Mary’s church in the Boltons, Chelsea. The church is like many in London in that the interior seems a lot larger than looking from outside would have you believe. The church also benefits from a lot of natural light which is a bonus when photographing a wedding ceremony.

Katy and Tom had chosen a 3pm ceremony and the bride, along with her bridesmaids and  Mum, were getting ready at the nearby Cranley Hotel

As you can see below, Katy’s gorgeous wedding dress was ready and waiting. It was made for her by Morgan Davies Bridal and looked even more gorgeous once she had put it on.

Meanwhile, at the church, Tom and his best man and ushers weren’t really showing too much in the way of nerves. They seemed more intent on displaying their bold choice of socks!

After the ceremony the newlyweds and their guests headed to Fulham Palace for the wedding reception. The wedding breakfast was served in the Chaplain’s Walled Garden Marquee and below you can see the tables laid out ready for the guests. The fabulous flower arrangements are by my good friend Mary Jane Vaughn.

It’s always a pleasure to be photographing a wedding at Fulham Palace, it’s one of London’s best kept (wedding) secrets!
