Wedding Photography in Kent

When I finally left this wedding on Saturday night the temperature had dropped below zero and I found myself scraping the screen of my car before I could set off for home. But considering the weather we’ve had in the days since then, I feel rather lucky to have been able to drive away at all!

Victoria and Adam married at St Nicholas church in Ash which lies between Canterbury and Sandwich in deepest Kent. Inside the church there was a warm atmosphere enhanced by the hundreds of candles that were lit along the window sills.

The ceremony complete, the bride and groom and their guests travelled the short distance to the reception which was held at Adam’s parent’s house in an extremely large marquee erected for the wedding.

Once again, candles played a part in setting the atmosphere and increasing the ambient temperature for us all.

The day ran very smoothly thanks, in no small part, to Elizabeth and the team at wedding planners, Simply Elegant.

After the wedding breakfast and some excellent speeches the newly weds and their guests moved out into the cold to watch a spectacular firework display.

Then it was back into the marquee for an evening of dancing which the couple kicked off with a great first dance routine to, appropriately, David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’

Great pictures Lloyd. As always, I love your style. Nice work Liz!
Beautiful wedding! I would love to see a firework like that in one of my weddings
Thanks for sharing your inspiring work.
Your photos and blog are just incredible. I’m a portrait and wedding photography in San Jose, I know that it’s tough photographing outstanding pictures. Thanks! Mike-DWF
Lloyd, thank you so much for these – they are absolutely beautiful – I can’t wait to see the rest!! (btw you got out lucky it was -6 and snowing a few hours after you left!) Liz xxx
Lovely pictures, very challenging shooting in the dark outdoors! I do wedding photography in the San Francisco Area, so I appreciate how well you have done for this couple. Lovely.
